Matter now supports RSS!

You might be wondering, what took so long?

Here's the story... We love RSS as an open standard. (Who doesn't?) But there's a rub. Traditional RSS clients often make it too easy to subscribe to high-volume publishers, leading to information overload.

We've been slow to add support for RSS because we want to tilt Matter away from this anti-pattern. We don't want to give you a firehose. We want to give you quality — idea density.

We also want to give you control.

Our opinionated implementation of RSS tries to balance these priorities. We don't showcase high-volume publishers in the app, but you can add any RSS feed to Matter by pasting in the URL. If you add a high-volume feed, we'll nudge you not to, but in the end, it's your decision!

With the addition of RSS, your Subscriptions Inbox is now a universal home for all your favorite subscriptions.
